“Hidden Message” (2,917 words) was selected by the editing team for The Fieldstone Review, the University of Saskatchewan’s literary magazine. The award is a cash prize for one of the accepted submissions per annual issue. It will be published in their magazine this Friday, September 13, 2019.

Dirtbag: The Legend of Fred Beckey
My neighbour, Phil, told me about this documentary showing at our local theatre, The Fritz. It was about an amazing rock climber and mountaineer who made an incredible number of first ascents of mountains in North America. I was struck by the difference, or graduation, between “focus” and “obsession”. Cape Horn Birthday
